# Register for IBM Cloud

Next, input your information, and retrieve the One-Time-Password that will be sent to your email address, use the OTP to activate your IBM Cloud account.

Congratulations! You have activated your IBM Cloud account. PS: Note that almost all services are available to explore at the Lite Version.‌

Do not be alarmed, **IBMid** refers to the email address you have used to sign-up for IBM Cloud (i.e. gmail, outlook, corporate domain, etc)

If you encounter the failure as screen shot above, please use your mobile phone to scan the QR Code provided and signup IBM Cloud account by using **Cellular Data (3G/4G/5G)** instead of connecting via WIFI.

## Failure : Your account cannot be created at this time.

If you encounter this problem, please try to use other human-readable email address that you may have (avoid using the email that contains too many ... dots as it's considered as one of fraudulent emails).
